We should all be proud of our fellow members.
- Dairylea President Clyde Rutherford

Leadership

  • Dairylea members democratically control the direction of our business. Members elect a board of directors to monitor the business, set goals and hire management to operate the Cooperative.
  • The Dairylea Structure Committee, comprised of members from each of the Cooperative’s 13 districts as well as Member Cooperative representation, proposed changes to the structure of the Dairylea Board, which were approved in August 2010 and ratified by elected Delegates at the October 11, 2010 Annual Meeting.
  • Instead of 13 geographical districts, Board members now represent five regions. This structure will provide for multiple directors per region, determined by a weighted calculation that considers both the pounds of milk and the number of farms in each region.
  • These farmer leadership positions provide direction and guidance to cooperative staff.
