Dairylea recognizes the importance of communication and education in order to keep our members updated on the Cooperative, industry news and developments. Dairylea communicates with members through a variety of mediums.

Publications

  • Checkletter: Provides information on market conditions, milk prices, legislative issues, animal health, environment regulations, market trends and industry news on the regional, national and international levels.
  • The Friday Facts: Offers weekly updates on legislative issues, milk pricing, market forecasts, livestock and grain reports, the Fixed Price Forward Contracting Program and more. This publication is available to members and industry professionals via e-mail, fax and mail.
  • Press Releases: Announcing news such as new customer contracts, legislative activity and involvement in special projects.

Member Meetings

Dairylea recognizes that nothing replaces the value of one-on-one communications.

  • District Meetings: Typically held twice a year - late Fall and Spring. These meetings are organized by Directors to provide members with more detailed information on Cooperative activities and the opportunity to provide feedback.
  • Annual Meeting: Serves as an opportunity for professional development - it provides important updates from management personnel, presentations by top industry executives, special business management sessions and peer group discussions.

Education

  • ACT Young Cooperator Program: Offered to members and key farm personnel between the ages of 18 and 40.  The ACT program features an annual conference and provides participants with additional opportunities to build upon their skills and gain further knowledge of the Cooperative and its operations.
